Safety boundaries
Please Check On is a platform for light, non-medical assistance. These boundaries protect everyone β helpers, recipients, and families.
Helpers must NEVER:
- β Administer medication of any kind
- β Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, intimate hygiene)
- β Lift or transfer a person
- β Provide any form of medical treatment or assessment
- β Act as an emergency responder
- β Enter a property if something feels unsafe without calling for help first
If urgent danger is suspected:
Call 999 immediately.
Do not delay emergency services. Helpers should also flag any concerns in their visit update so the family is informed.
Safeguarding
Helpers are required to report any concerns about a recipient's welfare through the visit update system. Requesters will be immediately notified. We encourage all helpers to be familiar with basic adult safeguarding principles.
Regulated care
If your loved one requires regulated home care, personal care, or nursing care, they need a registered care provider regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Please Check On is not a substitute for regulated care services.
